That was the first time I entered my college. It was on 15th September, 2014. I was very much excited and even a bit afraid. As soon as I entered the college, I was awestruck by seeing the most beautiful and natural environment of the college. The first day was Induction Day. They made the arrangements in an opulent manner, and welcomed the freshers in a grand way.
I think that BVRIT can be quoted as a “landmark for success”. The faculty are the best here. They guide us every moment, clarify our doubts, encourage us in all aspects of our life – in studies and also in all the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. This made me very happy. I was also impressed by the good facilities in college like free breakfast, food court, canteen, sports etc. Coming to friends, I was first scared seeing my classmates and to speak with everyone. Later on, everyone was friendly and we are also enjoying each and every moment together in the college. I was also happy to know that some of my inter friends also joined this college but they are in different departments. And the one thing that consoled me was that we all can meet every day near the bus bay.
Turning to the celebration side of this college, they conducted many athletic programs like 5k RUN, CYCLOTHON, and PIKINTHON which were cause oriented. 5k run is a program where students registered for participation and ran for 5 km. Almost all our classmates participated in it with great excitement and one of my classmates won the prize. We had lots of fun on that day. Then came the TRADITIONAL DAY during Sankranthi time . It was a day of enjoyment. We all got dressed in a traditional way and celebrated Sankranthi with our extended family members at college. We participated in many programs like Rangoli competition, Ramp walk, Keshalankar competition etc. On that day, the Chief Guest was an honorable Minister, Sri Harish Rao. It was good to see a famous politician in our college. His speech was motivating and useful to us. On that day, we were all spellbound when our Chairman sir announced 50 lakhs donation to the government for Mission Kakatiya project. It was really great on his part to donate such a huge amount for a good cause. He also said that he was very keen to help in building Bangaru Telangana and he wanted our Civil Engineering students to take an active part in the project. His action was very inspiring. We were very happy to know about the social responsibility of the college authorities.
Next fest was PROMOTHEAN. It was a technical fest, a very exciting one. Everyone was excited by seeing new technical experiments. The fest was very informative to all of us. The next day was ANNUAL DAY. On that day, we had lots of enjoyment with our friends. We had many games to enjoy. Each and every moment was fabulous and made everyone happy. Last but not the least was the much awaited program, ZEALOTZ. Through out the day and night, we had western programs and we had a blast with our friends. Everyone looked brighter and more colorful. The environment looked completely different on that day – it was full of fun and frolic. We had SUNBURN DJ on that day. Another attraction was a guest, Nagashowrya, a hero in Telugu films. He addressed the gathering. We were very thrilled to see him because he was one of my friends’ favorite hero. Finally, a famous singer, Anup Rubens, entertained the audience. He was a good singer and everyone was excited by seeing him. The artists were also happy by seeing our excitement towards them and performed the programs enthusiastically. We let our hair down and had a blast on that day. On that day, I was taken by a pleasant surprise. It was my birthday and at midnight, at 12 am, my friends brought a cake and we all celebrated my birthday. I was astonished by the celebrations and felt very happy. It is one of my memorable days in college which I will never forget in my life. I felt very proud to be one among my friends and happy to be with them. In my view, friends are for happiness in my life. In this way, I enjoyed every fest with my friends by the end of my I B.Tech 1st semester.
Now, we are in the 2nd semester of 1 B.Tech. The peaceful atmosphere in the college is congenial to studies. We grew a bit matured and more confident. We became a little more serious about our course. Parallelly, we also hang out sometimes at juice point and at other times at food court and enjoy. These places provides us time and space for some intelligent discussions too. We take selfies with friends to preserve our good moments at college. These are my best moments in the first year. This made me so affective and joyful. Thanks BVRIT for organizing various useful events and fests and for giving me and my friends so many memorable moments to cherish.
