Promethean and Zealots are the two extraordinary and intriguing events of BVRIT since its inception. We eagerly wait for them as we wait for the world cup . As I mentioned earlier I have a treasure of memories at BVRIT and here is another. It was march , this year & entire college was wrapped in promethean groundwork. shortly, it was the time when promethean fever had outspread . Discussions, team work and preparations were the only contrivances seen everywhere in the college. My classmates were completely involved in trying something new & different. But what to do ?? was the question. Many thoughts were raised and after many no’s and don’ts one day two of my friends lohit and harsha…. finally Came up with an idea of – “college radio”. It sounded well. We thought of using college radio for the publicity of the technical event promethean and decided that it should go on till the event lasted. The next step was to explain the concept to promethean core team. The team members were all delighted by the idea. They all admired it. Then was the final mission- our HOD’s permission. The core team succeeded in convincing our HOD & the permission was granted. It was like a bill passed in the parliament.
Time was 2.00pm in the afternoon, same day. We had a small discussion about college radio . one of my friend kavya & i were asked to host the show for the first day. Initially we were panicked. I never had any experience of hosting such kind of a show till then. But who on this earth would decline such an prodigious opportunity?? We agreed & were excited. Everyone had given their ideas regarding the show. That was IPL season and even sports week was going on in our college. we thought about cricket live updates , college sports news, playing songs , students & faculty’s birthdays, importance of that day in the history , climate updates and many more things. Summing up them all the pattern and script was ready. Then came a question “ what do we name our radio ??? ”& there was a serious debate again. One of my friend suddenly shouted “CAMPUS TALK”. The name was appealing and eminent. So thus our campus talk took its name. my friends suggested us to just listen to the way radio jockeys speak . so after going home I put on the radio – 93.5 fm. For the first time in my life I listened to a radio very seriously & carefully as if it was our HOD sirs class on “ Horn antennas”.
Finally the day has come. We were informed that campus talk would begin at 2.00 pm in the afternoon. The radio equipment was set up in a room in the ground floor, main block. At Sharp 12.00 pm kavya & I had assembled there. We had a quick rehearsal . As time flew I felt my heart beating at a rate of 120kmph. all the connections were set up , we took our seats , everything was set ready . it was 1.59 pm 3 2 1 GO ….

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COLLEGE , TEAM PROMETHEAN HAS COME UP WITH AN IDEA OF CAMPUS TALK TO ENTERTAIN YOU IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY. YOU WILL BE UPDATED WITH LIVE CRICKET UPDATES , OUR COLLEGE EVENTS, SPORTS NEWS AND EVERYTHING GOING ON IN OUR CAMPUS. SO FRIENDS HOPE WE’LL HAVE A GALA TIME TOGETHER , LET THE FUN BEGIN – TEAM PROMETHEAN.

In between the tracks we spoke about promethean , events under each department , what all could first years perpetrate. we could hear the clamors , when we conveyed the birthday wishes for students who were celebrating their birthdays that day. My friends were very helpful in collecting and informing us the sports news from the grounds. Just then Our medical In charge mam had come in and said “ you guys are doing really good and the talk about the program is absolutely positive.” I took a deep breath & we were relaxed by that note. Two hours passed away with out our notice. So it was 4.00 pm , buses were yet to leave. So kavya had put an end to that days show by saying “yeh tho bas trailer hai , picture abhi baakhi hai mere dost .” That was our first day experience. After the show there was a smile on our faces & satisfaction in our hearts. Our campus talk went on for five more days with an admirable response. Soon everyone got tuned to campus talk . Birthdays were informed to us a day before, tracks we played got a sound response .While starting this campus talk we didn’t expect anything, we just had a hope that it goes well. But the response we received was surprisingly satisfactory. Hosting the Campus talk for the first time is an unforgettable memory. All those Invisible echoes of the past will remain special forever to me.
